As part of a team of four small businesses in the Saratoga Gateway, Brenda enjoyed co-hosting a monthly outdoor parking lot event to raise money for local non-profits in the Saratoga and neighboring communities of Los Gatos, West San Jose, Monte Sereno and Cupertino. The fourth Saturday of each month from May through October 2012, this event featured live music, a variety of food trucks and vendors. The non-profits benefiting from the events in 2012 were West Valley Community Services (food bank), Relay for Life Saratoga (American Cancer Society), Youth Science Institute, Saratoga Senior Center, The Saratoga High School Sports Boosters and the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce. Pictured here, Brenda presents checks totaling over $700 to Saratoga Falcons Sports Boosters Chairperson, Tina Johnson. The other businesses involved in the effort were the Alamada Family Funeral Home (who spearheaded the project), Azule Salon and United Studios of Self Defense.
